Jesus The Greatest Gift

2 Cor 9_15_thumb[2]The man who pioneered mass production of motor vehicles, Henry Ford, said that the most successful person would be the one who would fill the greatest need the best.
There is no doubt that Jesus Christ remains the greatest person who ever lived because He made the greatest sacrifice to fill the greatest need for the greatest number of people. The sheer thought that God of the universe, would send His Son to die for mankind, is amazing. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16
Jesus Has Given Us So Much!
For all who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, as the greatest gift of all time, we can reflect on what He has done for us – and what He does for us on a daily basis:
We were dead in our trespasses and sins, and Jesus came that we may have life and life in all its abundance. “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Rom 6:23
We need forgiveness for sin and freedom from sin. He sent His Holy Spirit to empower us to live according to God’s ways. (Rom 8:1-12)
We need life, love and light. God is love, Jesus is the Way, The Truth and The Life and He is the Light of the world. He is the abundant giver of all things good. (John 10:10)
We need Grace – undeserved favor – and it is in Jesus Christ that we find the mercy we so desperately need. “For by Grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” Eph. 2:8-9
We are lost, and He is the Good Shepherd Who shows us the way. We are often deceived and confused, but He is the Truth. “And you shall know the Truth, and the Truth shall make you free.” John 8:32
We were bound in sin and condemned, but there is now no condemnation for those in Christ and “if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.” John 8:36

Latest Report From Pastor Avi In Israel

Dear Fellow Prayer Warriors and Supporters,
It is with great pain that we write to inform, update, and call on you to pray. We are sure that most of you are aware of the recent onslaught of terror that has been occurring here in the land of Israel for the past weeks and are still on going to our sorrow. In Israel, the news companies are calling the past weeks “Gal Terror” meaning “a Wave of Terror”. It has not yet taken the name “The Third Intifada”, but still, there are constant little reminders of what life used to be back in the day of the first and second Intifadas. On an average, there have been about 20 to 30 attacks daily with only the major ones being reported.
As of the moment we are writing this update, we have seen a total of 100 injured in the terror attacks. This number is split into three categories: mild, severe, and intensive care unit (fighting for one’s life). The number of mild cases are 70 persons, the number of severe cases are 20, while the rest are fighting for their life. We have seen 7 innocent people killed in stabbings or in the latest shootings. There is no mercy being shown by the terrorists for children or elderly being that the youngest victim of the terror attacks is 10 years of age and the oldest being a 70 year old lady.
Probably the most appalling fact is that the Palestinian children are taking part in the attacks. So far, two young boys ages 13 and 15 went on a stabbing spree in Jerusalem severely injuring a 25 year old man and a 13 year old boy. The Israeli police, in an attempt to stop the stabbings, shot both boys injuring the 13 year old and killing the 15 year old. This incident of course is being spun by the Palestinian Media to the world as an injustice to the children who were “simply on their way home from school”. The Palestinian Government accuses Israel of murdering both the 13 and 15 year Palestinian boy in cold blood. However, as news reports have come out in the last few days which have made it clear that only the 15 year was killed and that the 13 year old Palestinian is in an Israeli hospital receiving care from Israeli doctors and nurses and recovering quite well. The young Israeli boy who he stabbed is still in an intensive care unit.
However, life must go on even though some of the attacks have come from Arabs living in Israel with Israeli citizenship. My (Chaya) daughter and I went to the doctor’s office to get a flu shot and to our surprise, the nurse who administered the shots was a religious Muslim! I made sure to tell her ‘hello’ and ask her how she was doing. To be honest, inside I was feeling more like “oh no”. The Muslim Nurse responded to my friendly greeting with a sigh of relief and a smile. Sometimes in these tense times, the simplest thing like a smile can show love and perfect love casts out all fear.
Can you please join us in specific prayer during this time?
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem our precious and beautiful capital. Even though there have many attacks all over Israel, Jerusalem has been receiving most of them.
Pray that the perfect love from God will shine through all this darkness and break the fear.
Pray for the safety of all Israelis, especially for our family and all of those in and around the Dugit/Adonai Roi Community.
Pray for the eyes of those who hate us, and want to kill us, to be opened and see truth.
Pray for the salvation of all Israel.
With love and Blessings,
Avi and Chaya Mizrachi
Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem; They shall prosper that Love thee. Psalms 122:6
